Job Summary/
Responsibilities:
The Fowler Center for Outdoor Learning is a year-round non-profit camp for individuals with special needs of all ages. We operate a summer camp from June to August but also offer other camping opportunities throughout the year. Group
events
operate primarily from April to October but there are opportunities for additional groups to plan a trip with us year-round. Group Events Program Staff are responsible for preparing and implementing activities chosen by the groups we serve and adapting these activities to the needs of the specific group. Activities include: Challenge Education, Creative Arts, Equestrian, Waterfront, Sports and Recreation, Barnyard and Garden, and Outdoor Education. The Group Events Program Staff is also a very important customer service position, as they also assist in preparing the cabins for groups, transporting luggage and orienting groups to the cabin and grounds, and answering any questions group members may have. Staff are scheduled to work by group, which may include only day visits or overnight/weekend visits. Staff meals are provided by the Fowler Center, and overnight accommodations are available but staying on-site overnight is not mandatory.
In addition to other duties as assigned, staff are responsible for:
Arriving to work on time and dress appropriately
Reporting any issues or concerns to the Group Events Supervisor
Being welcoming and friendly to members of the group
Preparing camp for check-in, activities, and check-out of the group
Completing appropriate documentation as required by governing bodies
Facilitating activities as assigned
Required
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
Personal attributes: friendly, engaging, committed to providing quality programming
Must complete a mandatory training prior to working any Group Events
Those applying for Challenge Education must complete a mandatory training prior to working Climbing Wall, High Ropes Course, Tree House, or Team Building
Preferred
Qualifications:
Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid through the American Red Cross
Those applying for Waterfront programming must have current Lifeguard certification
Have experience in leading activities for groups of 10-20 individuals.
Have experience in adapting programs for individuals with special needs.
Valid Drivers License preferred with reliable transportationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
